Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Milano and Desert Heat chips?

While both are high-quality clay composite chips, they offer a different feel. Milano chips weigh 8-9g and are designed to mimic the exact weight and "chalky" texture of traditional casino chips. Desert Heat chips are slightly heavier at 14g, providing a more substantial "heft" that many home players prefer for a premium, heavy weight feel. Milano chips do not have a metal insert while other heavier clays do.

2. Are these "real" clay chips like the ones in Las Vegas?

Most "clay" chips on the market (including ours) are high-grade clay composites. 100% clay chips are actually quite fragile and expensive; our composite blend uses a mix of clay and high-density polymers to give you that authentic casino "clack" and texture while ensuring they are durable enough to last for years of home play. If a company tells you otherwise you might want to look somewhere else. The truth is the truth...

3. How many chips do I need for my home game?

As a general rule:

  • 4–6 Players: 300 chips are usually sufficient.

  • 6–10 Players: We recommend a 500-piece set.

  • Large Groups/Tournaments: 750 to 1,000 chips will ensure you never run out of denominations.

4. Can I customize the denominations in my set?

Absolutely! We know every home game has its own stakes (from $0.25/$0.50 blinds to high-stakes tournaments). When you order a set, you can choose the exact breakdown of colors and values you need to match your specific game.

5. How fast is shipping?

We pride ourselves on being the fastest in the game. Most orders are processed within 24 hours. Depending on your location, you can expect your chips at your doorstep within 2–7 business days weather delays can happen. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as the label is printed. We package our customer orders with the best protection. Unlike other companies who just throw your investment into a box and say thanks. As the owner of ChipDaddy and a poker player myself. It is very important to me that you receive your order the way I would want mine.

6. How do I clean and maintain my chips?

To keep that "new chip" feel, simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and a tiny bit of mild soap if they get sticky. Avoid submerging them in water or using harsh chemicals, as this can damage the center inlays. For an even more professional feel, many players "oil" their new Milano chips to darken the colors and soften the edges!

7. What if my chips arrive damaged?

Poker chips are heavy, and sometimes boxes take a beating during transit. If any of your chips or your carrying case arrive damaged, just snap a photo and email us. We’ll send out replacements immediately at no extra cost to you.
